According to data from National Highways, one of the biggest causes of car breakdowns is tyres, and in a lot of these cases, the breakdowns are completely avoidable with a few safety checks and maintenance. So, what’s the main cause of these breakdowns, and how can you avoid them?

This is the nominal HEIGHT of the tyre wall as a percentage of the nominal width. (60% of 225 in this example)
This indicates the tyre is of RADIAL construction
This is the rim/wheel DIAMETER that the tyre will fit (inches)
